RV Insurance

A recreational vehicle (RV) is a lifestyle statement with people traveling and staying in them for weeks and even months. Some people actually make a home in them and stay in their mobile homes for their entire lives. RVs are a lifestyle statement and owners who maintain an RV need proper insurance that can cover the investment when they are traveling and also when they are camping at one place.

An average RV can contain a surprising quantity of items and their value together with the cost of the RV can be quite significant amount. An insurance coverage can protect your RV and you from any damages due to accident or other causes.

If you are looking for a RV insurance quote online the first thing that you should do is find out the exclusions and the coverage that a typical quote will not cover / cover. The reason is although some insurance companies cover an RV as a home others not and that can make a lot of difference into what properties in an RV will be covered.

A bodily injury and property damage liability insurance consists of coverage for the legal liability that you need to pay to another person because of injury or damage to his property.

A comprehensive and collision coverage will protect your investment if it is completely destroyed or damaged or stolen. Each clause will have a certain amount of deductible that you need to pay and once you do so the insurance company will meet the remaining amount. This coverage can be of three types including market value, agreed value and total loss replacement cost.

For expensive items that are usually inside your RV and used as a part of the whole package such as your LCD TV, audio systems, satellite dish, clothes, camera and other items, replacement cost personal effects is the right policy to go for. This policy is usually a part of the comprehensive coverage policy and covers up to certain limit the cost of the items that are inside your RV.

Roadside assistance coverage is also necessary when you are driving cross country with your RV. This policy covers for the towing costs to the nearest repair facility and the repair costs for the RV if it breaks down due to any reason.

A RV insurance rate will vary from one insurance company to another. When comparing RV insurance prices ensure that you check for the deductibles and the coverage to select the policy that best suites your needs.

Motorcycle Insurance

Owning a motorcycle is one thing riding it on the road is another. This is because all states only authorize you to ride your motorcycle on their roads if it is properly insured. Motorcycle insurance coverage shares some basics with automobile coverage, although there are some minor differences in the way they operate.

When looking for motorcycle insurance, shop around as much as you did when you were shopping for the motorcycle. You are bound to get excellent deals in the process. Some of the insurance basics that you should be looking for include -

Liability It is a requirement by most states to have at least liability insurance on your bike. This will take care of other people and their property in case of an accident that you may cause. This package also offers Guest Passenger Liability that protects your passenger. Liability insurance consists of some of the following bodily injury and property damage, uninsured/underinsured motorist and medical payments. The uninsured and underinsured motorist covers you in case you are hit by another motorist who does not have enough insurance to cover you for damages. Liability insurance is mandatory in some states, but not in others.
Full coverage insurance As the name suggests, this package covers you and the motorbike comprehensively. It includes the following covers
Collision This coverage pays for repair, replacement, and other relevant compensations required. You will be reimbursed for damages to your motorcycle. Please note that this coverage is only for manufacturers parts, not any other accessories that you may have added to your bike.
Comprehensive This covers you for theft, fire and vandalism.
Roadside assistance This helps you to get towed to the nearest repair facility in case of mechanical problem, flat tire, insufficient gas, water and oil or getting stuck in mud or snow.

Please note that motorcycle insurance premiums are usually dependant on your age, driving records, location, the bike and how often you ride. These factors influence the cost of your insurance cover and can also determine the discount that you will receive. Also note that a deductible is applicable to any insurance claim that you make.

It is advisable to get a combination of liability and full coverage insurance as this will offer you utmost protection in the event of a misfortune. You should also fully understand the limitations of the cover that you choose.

Essentially, know the motorcycle insurance basics and make an informed decision. An insurance cover does not mean that you like bad things to happen, but it is a lot less painful if you have it as a back up.

Depends on the viioatlon. There aren’t exactly a whole bunch of insurance companies dying to write SR22′s on kids. So you’re GOING to end up with a high risk policy. How much? Depends on the viioatlon, actually. So check with Geico, Safe Auto, Progressive, and Leader Infinity. You’ll probably end up with one of those four.**Amica is a GREAT company, but they’re strict with underwriting. I seriously doubt they’ll even give you a quote, as soon as you say “SR-22″.**
